Hi,
As stated my display randomly black screened whilst watching something and the GPU fans started spinning really fast.
After this happened whenever the GPU is connected to the motherboard and powered the lights come on and fans spin, obviously fast, however the GPU is no longer detected and wont post at all not even to windows.
onboard graphics do work when GPU is installed.

OS: Windows 10 64-bit
CPU: i7-8700k
CPU Cooler: Corsair H150i pro
GPU: Palit GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER JetStream 8GB
PSU: Corsair RM750x
Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z390-A
RAM: 2X8GB Corsair Vengeance

Have tried:
re-seating GPU multiple times
using different PCIe slots
using different HDMI/DP cables

Any help would be greatly appreciated,thanks.

Only advice: RMA your GPU if you have any warranty left. Since what you describe is a dead GPU.

Though, if you don't have any warranty left, better advice is to switch brands and going with more reputable GPU brand. The top 4 are: Asus, MSI, EVGA and Gigabyte. Zotac, Palit, Sapphire and the like are 2nd rate GPU makers, offering same GPU at lower cost than top 4 but with questionable reliability (as you can see).
