Pc randomly freezes and then fails to boot

Hello everyone! So I have had my computer for 4 years now and just a couple days ago it started freezing up, not blue screen but would just lock up. I would have to force it to power down and then reboot when it failed to do that as well. It would power on properly but the monitor would show nothing, not even the BIOS, it is just a black screen. The interesting thing though is that sometimes it boots up properly and then works just fine until it freezes randomly again. Any help would be tremendous!

Do you know if this problem also happens when you boot into safe mode?
