My pc freezes randomly. The screen locks, keyboard and mouse don't work and I have to do a hard reset which may take numerous times until it will restart. There is a split second noise of static or a click through my bluetooth headphones just before it freezes.

The system is
Asus Maximus extreme viii
I7 6700k
16gb Gskill Trident z DDR4 FC3400 and the timings are 16 18 18 38 and is running via XMP in the bios.
MSI 1080ti
EVGA 850w supernova psi
Corsair H100i
3 SSD - C = Samsung 256gb 840 + 128 + 1Tb + 128
1 500gb wd spinner
W10 64 creator

I have reseated the ram, ran memory check, reset virtual memory, ran prime and furmark for GPU, ran disk chk, updated drivers and tried a 980ti, ran scandisk, ran file checker and updated all drivers. I have also disabled C state. I have also viewed event log - suggested PCH fault 04 and 55 re memory problem. I have also altered the PCIE power settings to prevent running in economy mode.

Nothing has worked yet - still random freezes that occur usually when gaming. I am now totally perplexed and would appreciate help.
