Hello! I have been lurking these forums for a while but first time posting.

I will try and find all of my PC’s specs to add to this post and try to provide as much information as possible.
Gateway DX4860-UR31P Desktop PC - Intel Core i5-2320 3.00GHz, 4GB DDR3, 500GB HDD, Intel HD Graphics 2000, DVDRW, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

The only thing I think was changed was my vid card to a AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
And I am not sure if the Power supply was upgraded, not sure how to verify it.

I have had my desktop for over 2 years. A few months ago when I turned on the tower, the monitor would go to sleep even while the tower stayed on. It would say ( no signal detected, going to sleep)
I would have to turn off the tower ( by holding the power button) and try 3-4 more times until the windows logo would show up on my monitor ( Or I would get the option to start windows or check for errors)
A few weeks later, my screen would freeze randomly (Audio will continue in the background for about a minute or two) then everything would freeze. If I was on teamspeak I could continue to talk even with the frozen screen for a minute or two until everything froze. ( no response on keyboard by clicking cap locks or num-lock to see if the lights turned on or off on the keyboard).

I have:
Changed the cable to the monitor
Changed Monitors
Reseated my ram
Updated Windows
Updated my vid card drivers
Ran ram diagnostic tool ( from windows)
Reseated my vid card ( cleaned out fans with can of dustoff)
Cursed numerous times
Defragged and analyzed my memory
Ran malware programs ( Mophvox Pro)
Ran Microsoft essentials about a dozen times
Prayed to the internet Gods for help,

Hmm not sure what else I should do.

Thank you for your response :)

My PC did not give me issues for about a month, then I brought it to work to play games during the weekend and it started giving me tons of problems ( the freezing). Last night I re-seated the ram and vid card and so far for the last 20 plus hours it hasn't given me any issues.

Im really starting to think it might be every time I move it around ( from work to my house) when I connect the vid cable I might be messing it up.

Not sure yet.

I re-seated the ram and vid card and its been a month with no issues.

I also have not moved it again since that day to make sure not to mess anything up.

Thanks for the responses :)
