PC randomly freezes. Why? Help please!

So my computer keeps randomly freezing at different times, mainly when running intensive games or programs, but I don't know why can anyone help?

Could it be my computer just being old and the HDD slowly dying or maybe the RAM not functioning properly?

Specs:
CPU: i7-3770k 3.50GHz
RAM: 8GB
GPU: Zotac Gtx 760

How are the temps when your running "intensive games or programs".
I have a 2600k and it shows no degradation, so your chip should be fine.

try to test memory with memtest
