PC randomly freezes

My computer is randomly freezing. It usually starts with a few "mini" freezes where I cant do anything and there is a weird buzzing noise(usually lasts 2-3 seconds).Then there is the big freeze where I have to restart my computer or if I leave it my computer shuts down on its own.(Sometimes the buzzing noise can also be heard here sometimes there is no noise).This usually happens when i'm gaming but sometimes also happens when i'm just browsing the web or watching videos etc.

My computer is 3 years old

Specs:
AMD fx-6300
MSI 970-A-G46
2x4 8gb DDR3 RAM
MSI GTX 760 2gb OC
Corsair cx500 500W PSU
1TB hard drive
Windows 10 home

Run Memtest 86 on windows and see if it shows any memory errors.

PC now freezes a few minutes after startup

Booted in Safe Mode now its not freezing so is it software related?

Most likely a driver conflict. Go into device manager and update all of your drivers. I'd also make sure your motherboard BIOS is on the latest revision.
