I have been dealing with issue for a couple of months now my build
Win10 64bit
Gtx 960
Eight core CPU
600w ps
10.0 gb ram
I updated pretty much all the drivers also updated to the new windows update ran a memory diagnostics test nothing was wrong with the memory hard drive seems fine not sure what the problem could be mainly happens if I'm gaming.

Solution
I tried a different videocard and a different psu still doing the same thing.
Then it's the motherboard. The 125w+ TDP 8-core FX cpu's will eventually exhaust motherboards that lack a sturdy and more robust VRM, such as the 4+1 phase VRM board you're currently using.

Think either that extra stick of ram makes it happen or the psu is going out or you have heat issue.
Cleaned the pc recently?
Test without that xtra stick.
Psu is really only to test with another one.

Can look at voltage levels with this tool,
Took out the extra stick but did end up freezing again temp was 69c when it froze.

So using a single stick didn't help, and you don't have a spare psu to test with...
Another issue is the crap 4+1 power phase mobo equipped with an FX 8 core.

Could also be overheating. The throttle temp for 8 core FX is 61C. Check those temps again with AMD Overdrive.
The PC is supposed to shut down on you if the cpu really is running 69C+.
