I have been using this pc for about a year and a half and so far its worked great but for maybe a month I have been having problems with it restarting unexpectedly. I have cleaned it for dust and everything and it kept going I went to event viewer and it said it either lost power, crashed, or stopped responding. I have suspicion about the power supply but cant say. When it goes off it shuts off the lighting on my mouse keyboard and mousepad then the pc makes the noise to turn on then everything comes on and acts as if it did a full restart.

Processor AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor
Graphics Card: NVIDIA Geforce 1050 ti
Power supply: vn 500 w
Ram: 8gb

Solution
It's almost certainly that metal box masquerading as a PSU.

Replace it (if it's an Apevia model it's cheap, generic rubbish which you shouldn't be using anyway, so even more reason to suspect it's that which is causing the problem).

Stick with quality brands like Seasonic, Corsair etc.)
