PC randomly restarts... mobo issue?

First, some background. So, I bought a PC from my school last week at a steal- 45 bucks and it has an i5-2500 @ 3.3ghz and 4 gigs of ram, which I planned to add to the 6 gigs I already had. The big draw here was the i5, as it was a considerable upgrade from my old phenom II x4 b95. However, my old PC's motherboard wasn't compatible with this processor, and I couldn't just swap my GPU over because the case on the new PC was too small. So, I set about swapping the whole dang motherboard out, which I performed successfully. The PC boots and I have my i5 and my 10 gigs of ram now. Aside from my problem, which I'll discuss shortly, the PC's performance is much better.

So, my problem. The PC very much likes to suddenly reboot at inopportune times. No BSOD, no beeps, no overheating. I did have to take the heatsink off the mobo to swap it all over, but I cleaned it and the processor and reapplied thermal paste using the pea method and all that jazz. Temperatures aren't getting unreasonably high for my CPU- the highest I got was like 67 degrees when I was playing some Project Cars earlier. But I assume the stock intel heatsink is to blame for that. My GPU was a little hotter than normal- sitting around a max of 74. Nothing offensive, I suppose.

So, what I'm thinking is that the new motherboard is to blame. Unless the power supply conveniently started doing this once I switched to a new mobo, that is. The PSU was acting fine before I switched parts around, that I know. No restarts or anything. I also triple-checked the wiring to the mobo, everything is where it should be. Also, I've tried different wall sockets and using/not using a surge protector.

Would love some input/suggested course of action on this. Thanks in advance!

I suppose I could do that... I do have four sticks of ram in there haha. 3 two gigabyte sticks and one 4 gigabyte stick. I'm a scrapper, what can I say. Could that be the problem?
