Specs

CPU: A8-6500
GPU: R7 240
RAM: 12GB DDR3 1600MHz
PSU: Corsair 450w
HDD: 1TB
OS: Windows 10 64-bit

The computer randomly restarts sometimes without any warning. Sometimes every day, sometimes every few days. It has happened when both under full load and also idle on the desktop. No BSOD, no "restarting" screen, no nothing. Just straight up restarting.

Things I've tried to try and fix the issue:

  • Installed new PSU - Didn't fix it
Replaced RAM - Didn't fix it
Reinstalled windows - Didn't fix it (Tried 3x times)
Ran multiple system tests and scans such as memtest - All can back clear, no errors.
Ran multiple anti-virus and anti-malware scans - All clear, nothing found.
Cleaned the computer of dust - Didn't fix it, certainly not a heat problem.
Switched Power outlets - Didn't fix it.
Tried most uncheck this and edit that found on the internet - Didn't fix it.
Changed windows 10 updating settings to not automatically restart - Didn't fix it.

One thing that I keep noticing, is a DistributedCOM error literally happening right before the restart in the eventviewer (Screenshot linked below) Screenshot link: https://imgur.com/a/q1m3o

I literally can't afford to keep buying random new parts and hoping it fixes the issue. Any way to fix or find out for sure what is causing the problem?

Okay - my first thought regarding such problems would be to look in Event Viewer.

You have already done that.

Can you post what is presented via the Details tab?

Next step is to google the error being presented.

I googled "what is a distributed com error". Try other searches using/including "SID" and "CLSID".

Found a variety of links. E.g.:

https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/whereismysolution/2017/06/16/initial-troubleshoot-dcom-errors-1010-and-1016/

There are other links to be found.

Here is another link from within this Forum:

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3366602/clsid-appid-permision-conflict.html

No need to immediately react and start doing things per se.

Just read and research the possibilities until you reach some constant consensus regarding the problem and a viable fix.

As always, be sure to back everything up before applying any given "fix".

If u have a msi mobo try flicking the slow mode.If the pc stops restarting then its probably your cpu core voltage either low or high.Try Downclocking yor cpu as that worked for me.
