Hello friends!
Here are my specs
My computer has started randomly shutting down when I am gaming.
Common problems I have read include
My CPU and GPU seem to be running pretty cool at idle (30-50c) or even when gaming.
I noticed my chipset can run pretty hot though (> 70c) even at idle. I am wondering why it is so hot, and if this could be the reason for the random shut-offs.
I have tried cleaning out all dust from my chassis, increasing fan RPMs in the BIOS, and moving my GPU from PCIE slot 1 down to slot 3. Air flow through the tower seems to be well ventilated.
Do any kind, knowledgeable folks have any ideas why the Chipset is so hot at idle, and if this could be the reason behind my random PC shut-offs?
Any ideas how to treat it?
If this doesn't seem to be a problem, are there any other suggestions that I should try investigating?
Let me know if I can provide any more information. I feel a little savvy, but far from an expert.
Thank you in advance for any information!

Common problems I have read include
- outdated drivers (I ensured all my drivers were up to date)
- insufficient power (I upgraded my power from 850w to 1200w)
- over-heating (this is what I am trying to diagnose and treat)
