Hello, before starting this off, heres my PC build:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8tWr23

So every so often my pc would just randomly shut down, im guessing it may be a PSU problem as the Windows 10 shut down animation never happens, it would just completely shut down as if it had no power source.

The PC was put together in August 2015, around the 10th. At the start the graphics card wasnt installed as it was sold out in my area. I dont think the PC ever shut down before the graphics card was installed, I then installed the graphics card roughly on the 22nd of August. Everything seemed to be working fine, powered up fine, had no issues at all. Then a couple weeks later my PC just randomly shut off, I didnt think much of it and powered it back up, everything was okay again and it didnt poweroff a second time that day, Couple days later same thing happened. Could the graphics card possibly be connected incorrectly to the PSU? Could it be that my pc is overheating? I use it everyday for a couple hours, everything is at stock, no overclocks/tweaks. Im not really sure how to keep an eye on temperature, is there maybe a program that could be overlayed in all applications so I could keep a better eye on it and see the temps just before it shuts down?

Also, something to point out is that im not even really heavily gaming when it shuts down, im either just watching videos/movies or playing minecraft which isnt too heavily on system performance. I have 5GB of ram allocated to minecraft but im not really sure how that could cause a problem since i've got 16GB.

Thanks for any help :)

I think that is CPU problem, replace the CPU and see if it still acts up. If not, CPU was your problem. If it acts up, put your old CPU back in and look at your motherboard for any bad capacitors. If none, then look at ram. Then psu. If you can spot capacitor is bad, take the motherboard out and solder off the bad one and replace it with the exact capacitor. Again, do not think psu is your problem but CPU or motherboard.

Because it randomly shuts down. That means overheating which means CPU or motherboard. If it was psu, it would not start at all or start and shutoff. The fact he can get into Windows, tell me his psu has enough power to all components and nothing is wrong with the psu. He can easily test the psu with another one or psu tester. I am pretty confident it is not psu.
