so yesterday I upgraded my cpu and cpu cooler because my cpu was overheating. after the upgrade the temperatures seem normal, but when playing games like rainbow six siege the pc will randomly shut off. i already updated the bios and made sure to clean install the new gpu drivers. i tested in heaven benchmark and everything worked fine but in game the whole pc shuts off.

my old cpu was a amd ryzen 5 2600 with a stock cooler.

my new cpu and specs:
amd ryzen 7 5800X
FRZN
corsair 16 gb DDR4 x 2 3600mhz but runs on 2133 currently
seasonic focus px 650
adata su650
MSI B550 A-pro (bios updated)

any ideas?

hello I am back, the problem stopped occuring for a week but today it has returned twice now, I have no clue what it could be but I thought that it might be a psu issue?

download hw monitor

https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

make sure ram is running in slots 2 and 4

2 from cpu cooler and last slot on the motherboard

cpu cooler and what gpu are you using

also note that if this is running windows 11 turn of gpu acceleration under graphics

Graphics: Right-click the desktop, go to "Display Settings" > "Graphics" > "Change default settings", then turn off "hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling

this caused hogwarts legacy to crash for me and also caused my pc to restart when playing fornite turning this off stopped it from happening.

so I did all this but its still crashing, note that its porbably not the game but the pc itself, when my pc crashed today It wouldnt turn on until i turned off the power button and waited a few minutes, does this point to a psu issue or am i seein this wrong?
