PC Randomly Shuts Off

Please help. My Custom Built PC keeps shutting off randomly. It also will sometimes not start without turning the whole psu off and on. Please help quick. I can't even use my PC. Thanks

dowload hardware info 64 bit set it to logging and sensor. watch your temps and your 12v rail on the power supply make sure it stays above 11.7v.

Ok I installed it. I cannot find the PSU in the hardware info anywhere. I have set it to logging. Also when I am gaming I noticed my CPU went all yellow for all of the cores.

it on the second page your looking for 12v 3.3 and 5v lines.
make sure your usaing a good cpu cooler going yellow putting the cpu temps in the 60-70c hot range.

Alright the 12v stayed above 11.7 V at 11.880V being the lowest and the average as 11.987

Alright so I did a memory test, its all fine. The only thing I can think of is the CPU overheating? Also it will sometimes just not give any input or output for the keyboard and etc. but just have the fans on.

Only a few months old and no I don't have another power supply to test with.

If it helps my CPU goes into 55C at the max when gaming. Ordered a new cooler. Arriving on monday. Hopefully that will help.

If it helps my CPU goes into 55C at the max when gaming. Ordered a new cooler. Arriving on monday. Hopefully that will help.

Yes whenever I game. I found event 41 kernel-power error. Everyone confirms that this error could relate to overheating. On my monitor. Before it shutdown it reached 57C and shutdown.

Sounds most likely it is the PSU to me. Also, run a Prime95 stress test. Download version 26.6 http://windows-downloads-center.blogspot.com/2011/04/prime95-266 and run it.

Download Furmark also and run that.

Hey everyone thanks for the help. I installed my new fan and the CPU didn't go over 45C so I believe this is fixed. Thanks for all you help.
