Question PC Randomly stops responding.

A few days ago, I decided to test out VPNs like Hotspot Shield, Nord VPN, Windscribe, Proton VPN, etc. I also downloaded Popcorn Time ( I know I probably shouldn't have). After downloading these programs, my pc started to stop responding on video games like R6S and League of Legends. I did a quick scan of my pc for a virus but it showed up as clean. Before downloading the programs, my pc worked fine to my knowledge. Someone also told me shutting my pc down with the power button was bad for the RAM or memory ( can't remember which). Could this be a cause? It's really frustrating because I don't know what to do and it's annoying. Any one have a fix?

Again like my previous thread, I THINK this started a couple days ago when I downloaded the VPNs but my mouse constantly has a blue loading symbol beside when I'm doing nothing. I can't seem to fix this either. Any fixes?
