Pc randomly went black screen only boots properly somtimes?

Solution
Fairly certain it was motherboard issues effecting my gpu however seeing as it works 100% perfectly until the screen goes blank, then when I used to be able to get the PC to boot again after the problem it was fine after that.

cooler master sideon 120v liquid cooler
amd athlon 760k quad core
2x4gb 1600mhz vengance ram
msi A88xM Gaming Mobo
Mini-Itx Gaming 270x
1tb western caviar blue Harddrive
500cx corrsair power supply

(And there wasnt another post it was this post I just deleted the long page description the video makes it easier to understand whats happening its only like 4 min)

I'm having the same problem with you I think it might be the power supply, I've had two of the corsair cx series the first one died after about 2 years of use and now I think this replacement one is dying with the same problems presented here

update i got the pc to reinstall windows 8.1 via flashdrive and found out from my bios/board explorer that one of my rams wasnt working so i took it out and everyhting seemed to be fine but then again when installing my drivers it went black and rebooted its rebooted like 3 times now

Pretty sure it is your PSU giving up mine is doing the same. Random vertical black/coloured lines at random times but much more common during intensive games. It also fails to boot up properly after the problem until it randomly decides it wants to turn back on when I restart it over and over

I can actually do quite a lot with mine it's just when I start to push it a little more it tends to crash, but it has happened before I attempted to play any games. Other times though I've managed to play 20-30 mins of games before it happened, strange.

Yeah to 4.3 ghz for 3 years, I tested my system it seems my mobo is the problem as it is no longer booting up properly even without my gpu. Ordered an Asus z97-p and a i5 4690k, so either way If my gpu is causing it my motherboard is dead too and it needed replacing so we will see
