Hi guys, I've just bought a new pc, it's currently 6 months old and I'm having a lot of trouble trying to fix this error, it started some time ago. Whenever I play The Witcher 3 for 10 minutes for example, it just restarts the computer. I've tried a lot of things and I also checked some threads talking about PSU, but as my pc is brand new, I can only suspect of a problem with the manufacturer or so. My PC current rig is:

CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA 970a ds3p
Memory RAM: Kingston FURY X White 8 Gb
GPU: GIGABYTE AMD Radeon (TM) R9 380 x Windforce 4gb
HDD: Seagate 7200rpm 1 TB
PSU: Thermaltake EVO Blue 2.0 650W Gold

Please save me guys!!

Solution
It could be,but it'd be easier to try a new Psu before messing around with the mobo.

I have the same CPU as you and my motherboard is a Gigabyte 970a-ud3p (it has a 8+2 power phase) and PSU is an Evga supernova G2 750w. Both have been performing solidly for 2 years now.

Yes, I've tried that and the temperatures are normal, pretty low actually due to the cold weather here now 🙁

I know the Computer is brand new but it could still be the PSU, some parts have a long life and some die quickly.

First you should check that all the connections are tight inside the case (PSU to motherboard etc), also try a new PSU power cable (from PSU to wall socket).

If you're still having issues I would think about RMA the PSU.

EDIT: I've noticed that your motherboard has a 4+1 power phase so it could have issues with higher power CPU's. If you have any Overclocks on the computer remove them and set settings to default in bios and then see if you're still having issues.

I thought about the MOBO, currently I'm not doing any OC, maybe trying to get a new one? I've just cleaned and reconnected everything.
EDIT: Which PSU or MOBO would you say that could work for me?

Thanks, the thing is that I was able to play solidly for 4 months... it is pissing me off! I'll definitely test both parts

You're welcome. I can understand your frustration, if it's been fine for all these months without having made any changes to the system it leads me to believe that it's a faulty component, more so to the PSU side.

Good luck I hope you get it fixed soon, and let us know how you get on.
