First, here's my system:
Ryzen 5 1600AF
2x8GB 3000MHz Cl16
MSI Mortar B450m
RX5700XT
Samsung 970 Evo Pro 512GB

I swapped the Mainbaord (B550 to B450).
After that, the problems appeared.

Sadly I have yet to find a pattern but:
Sometimes the PC just won't display anything - the screen stays off and it does not boot.
I then restart over and over until it finally works. When it works straightaway, the PC still restarts about 3 times.
I have set my SSD as Boot #1.
Please help me out - I'm so confused and frustrated!

I have activated UEFI&Legacy because the SSD disappears when enabling UEFI.

I use CSM instead of UEFI for the same reason.

Im am very thankful for any help and am happy to provide you with the needed Infos!

How far can I go with bios updates?
I'm concerned about my Ryzen 5 1600AF not being supported in newer BIOA versions. The issues above can be solved by not overclocking, but 2666Mhz on 3000Mhz RAM really sucks...

Here are my OC settings:

Ryzen 5 1600Af
4.0 GHz (literally any OC does not work, tested with 3,9;3,8;3,7 too)
1,385 V

GSkill Trident Z RGB 3000Mhz CL16
XMP Profile 1 3000Mhz

The system wont boot.
I have to short CMOS every time...

Seasonic 760W X Series
It's so weird... Shouldn't I be able to get 3,9 or 4,0 GHz at 1,385V? 3000Mhz with XMP does not seem too much too...

I somehow managed to get into windows with 3,7GHz and 3000Mhz RAM after a long time. At WQHD Ultra Settings in BFV I only have around 45fps. Is that normal???

3000MHz on a Zen 1 CPU might not work. Try 2933MHz and if that doesn't stick leave it at 2666MHz.

Zen 1 CPU - 2666MHz guaranteed speed. People can use 2933MHz on Zen 1 no issues when the RAM is on the QVL list.

Zen CPU - 2666MHz guaranteed - 2933MHz with XMP.
Zen + CPU - 2933MHz guaranteed - 3200MHz with XMP.
Zen 2 CPU - 3200MHz guaranteed - 3600MHz with XMP.
Zen 3 CPU - 3200MHz guaranteed - No idea never had a Zen 3 CPU.

I checked your BIOS motherboard download page. I don't see any "Don't install this BIOS version if you have a "Summit Ridge" CPU. So you're fine updating it if you want.

your 1600AF should be using bios 7B89v10 or later? so not a bios conflict, there are a few updates for RAM compatibility.
XMP may not work above 2933Mhz, but MSI provides a few "Try It" presets as well IIRC. if it really bugs you, invest in b-die RAMs that play better with the older setups

Somehow I got it to run stable with 3,9GHz and 2933Mhz on the RAM.
Both CPU and GPU are under 60 degrees all the time.
I now get 75/80fps in BFV.
Can't complain :)
The boot process is still very weird...
Here's a video:

The pop sounds come from my speakers which are hooked up to an USB interface... Can I somehow prevent this popping?
