About 3 days ago, my PC rebooted itself for no apparent reason while in a game of CSGO. It started back up, and I resumed game just fine. Now, it is unable to start any game (including minecraft and terraria) without rebooting. I have tried low power mode, setting higher priority, running minimum game settings, launching as admin and changing drive location for the games. From my research I have come to the assumption this is a hardware issue. I cleaned the cpu and cpu cooler and re-applied thermal paste to see if that helped. It did not. My cpu caps at 44 degrees Celsius so I do not think it is a thermal issue either. I am not really sure what the problem is here.

PC hardware:
CPU: I7 7700k
CPU cooler: hyper212 evo
gpu: MSI geforce gtx 970
motherboard: Asus Prime z270-ar
Power supply: thermaltake TR2 600W
Storage: 220 GB SSD (OS only), 1TB HDD

I agree with Vic 40. It sounds like your PSU.
Did you try tuning up your rig first? General maintenance. Updating all your drivers, make sure your not running two of the same or type of software (like antivirus or spyware). Defragging, disk check (or system file check) (sfc)
Sometimes games will remember a crash like a game setting. Try resetting to default settings, Default or reset game. Repair game game or update game or uninstall/reinstall the game.
Reseat all your hardware connections, ram & plugs.
Hope some of this helps.

Yeah, I notice that, too. TR2 is rather unfriendly fellow. However, I topped that when I owned an 'Ultra' 8 yrs. ago.. which fried everything. Lol.
