hey guys
i will tell the whole info from the start
so i had this crappy pc with a am2 socket at first and 3gb of ram with a GTX260 then i was getting tired of not being able to play bf4 and nfsrivals so i did some research about cpu's i buyd a phenom II 955 black edition (3.2 ghz quadcore) on forums they said it would work with a bios update so okay i got one... did a bios update and still dident work and messed up my bios later hehe so i was like okay.. then i bought a new motherboard (asrock 970 extreme4) with a am3+ socket at that moment the setup was :
gtx260
2gb ram 1333mhz
phenom II 955 black edition (3.2 Ghz quadcore)
psu : 420w
so .. i was playing nfs rivals at ultra quality and then boem my psu went dead ... ( obviously )
then i went back looking for a new psu.
bought a new one 550W ATX black 12mm fan
okay...
next try .. now i opened nfs rivals again went okay for a few seconds and then it started rebooting ... evreytime i put my pc under stress.
so okay i checked my gpu temp and my cpu temp they are both more then fine.
( yes i also unchecked the box of ' reboots at system failure' )
then i tought i must be the friggin ram i got a new DDR3 ram 1066mhz... try to fit it but my pc dident detect it ... yeh i know there not matching ... i also reinstalled my pc into a 64bit windows 7 now.( that could have been the cause of not detecting 4 gb of ram, but it dident work.. )
still got the same thing..reboot reboot reboot... so what would it be ? the PSU ? the ram ? something else ??
setup now:
windows 7 64bit
GTX260
2gb ram 1333mhz
phenom II 955 black edition (3.2 Ghz quadcore)
PSU :550w ATX 12mm fan
cpu watercooling
so its fixed now,
what i did :
i putted in another psu from 300W that connects to my cpu, and sata's
and dont worry the 300w only starts working when i switch on my 550w
the gpu still makes a wierd noise when its under stress.. but thats okay i guess
thnx for helping !
