I have a 750 ti and the game is installed on my HDD. Windows is on my SSD. I have the same problem with Batman Arkham Knight. I try running GTA V in safe mode at 480p. And it works. As soon as I bump the resolution to 1080p and borderless. My screen goes black. It says no source detected. Then the reboot process begins. Now what.

I tried running Batman: Arkham City and my game crashed and PC rebooted, then I tried Arkham Knight again and my screen crashed in green.

Awesome. That's helpful information. I don't yet know what it means, so I google'd it.

Google query: Component: AMD Northbridge

Possible cause: Northbridge overheating. Improve the airflow and cooling in your case. Were it me, I would temporarily open the computer case and place it on it's side, so all the components are pointing up toward the ceiling. This should allow excess heat to escape, in order to test my theory. It might also be helpful to place a small fan toward the case opening, to help cool the components and to keep the ambient temperature down. If you agree with my...
My first assumption would be that it's related to your video drivers.

Check event viewer: windows key + r -> eventvwr -> windows -> application
Check event viewer: windows key + r -> eventvwr -> windows -> system

* Look for events during the time of the reboot.

If you had experienced a BSOD (blue screen) then I would have recommended that you pull the mini-dump file.

Addendum:

Recommendation: After opening the case and pointing a fan toward motherboard, turn on the computer and try to reproduce the problem by playing the games that caused the problem. Ideally another game besides Batman Arkham Knight might be better, simply because it's rumored to be unstable. But if that's the only game that consistently crashes then play it to reproduce this problem.

Question: By any chance, are you overclocking either the video card or the CPU? I've never heard of anyone overclocking a 750 Ti, but since you're playing such demanding games in 1080p resolution, it occurred to me as a possibility.

* By the way, the Northbridge chipset's main function is to manage communications between the CPU and other parts of the motherboard.

It worked! Thanks so much for the help, I was about to grab my brothers 760 to see if it's my video card. XD, I once overclocked my 750 ti thinking I'd get a tad bit better performance in GTA V. The overclock didn't really do anything, so I restored the default clock speeds back. I did successfully overclock my CPU, the AMD FX 6300 to 4GHZ. I kept it too, when I reinstalled windows when I bought my new SSD. The clock speed went back to 3.5GHZ. I never really looked into it because people were saying that you have to do it in BIOS and it seemed intimidating, so I left it. But I'm surprised that my CPU overheated because I'm used a Hyper 212 Evo, my brother has a 6300 and a 760, he uses stock heat sink, sure it's extremely loud, but he's never encounter overheating problems. The reason why I think it happened was because there wasn't enough space for air to flow around the outside of my case, and I had been playing a lot of Half Life 2 this morning. And Batman Arkham Knight is a wreck on the PC.
