So after two days of trying to figure this out, not sure what else to do. My pC resets while playing games (Final Fantasy 14 & Heroes of the storm). No warning or anything, simply while running the game PC resets and boots back up. Times between resets vary, they also reset whether the pc has been off or on for a period of time (so i don't think its overheating). Tried drivers old and new, fresh install of Windows 8.1, running complete standard system (no OC on anything). I'm thinking might be the PSU, Motherboard, or possibly the GPU? I'm at work now but i would appreciate some help or thoughts on what it could be. Thanks!

RAM: Corsair Vengenance Pro (16Gig) x4
Motherboard: ASUS ATX Maximus VI Formula LGA 1150
CPU: i5-4670K
GPU: Titan X Gerforce
PSU: Corsair HX 850 (80 plus Gold)

GPU normally runs around 75-78 degrees F....i have it in an open case, few fans. The CPU about 85degrees F....and this might be a dumb question but that PSU is enough for Titan? ( i thought minimum was 800 or so). Kind of new to this so bare with me and thanks for the input!

Titan X requires minimum power supply of 600 watt

Your PSU is a tier 2a which is good

It could be a PSU issue do a CPU+GPU system stress and see what will happen

How are these PSU Tiers determined?

PSU tiers are picked by toms and it varies from actual performance to build quality and reliability. It also includes functionality and quietness. Also check JonnyGuru for reviews. They have good PSU reviews.

Here is your PSU found in Tier 3

Tier Three
Some Haswell compatible, some not (maybe unconfirmed). Still safe to use and stable, just lower quality components. Some capacitors maybe Japanese, but can include the Taiwanese capacitors. Not really ideal in serious overclocking or super-high load situations, such as a Bitcoin mining rig or a high end gaming system.

Corsair
CS Great Wall
CX / CXM Channel Well Technology
RM Channel Well Technology (450w - 650w, 1000w) / Chicony (750w)
VS Channel Well Technology
