Pc restart problem

Just put in a new motherboard (asusz97) and processor (core i7 4790k) start up is fine but when it goes to start Windows it blue screens for a split second and resets. Cpu temp is about 40c so I don't think it's an overheat issue. I tried another hard drive with Windows on it to make sure It wasn't the hard drive.

Have you reinstalled Windows, or still using the old one?

Hmmmmm you may want to get it checked out with someone to see that it's not a dead on arrival (DOA) Same with the processor, that bit may seem unnecessary but you paid probably a bit to get those parts so it doesn't hurt to be sure...
