PC restarts during gameplay while under stress.

My recently new computer restarts without warning and no BIOS error screen while playing very stressing games such as Skyrim or Starcraft 2 on relatively high settings. I am under the impression that the underlying issue is the power supply but I cannot be for sure and would love some opinions. Here are my PC specs:

Windows 7 64-bit

Intel Core i5-2000 CPU @3.30GHz 3.60 GHz

16GB ram

AMD Radeon HD 6900 series

1200 Watt power supply

The power supply should be able to handle this system, so I am quite bewildered as to what and where the problem lies. Thanks!

What are your temperatures like for your GPU and your CPU?

From my own experience it could, as Phyco126 hints, be your CPU overheating. What cooler do you have? Do you ever get BSODs or CPU alarms? Maybe install Blue Screen Viewer to see what's happening, even if you don't see them.
