Question Pc restarts itself when i changed the psu

So my psu died and my fathers friend who is a technician and works with computer gave a new psu and he said that its better then the old one. Now i started playing Witcher 3 and other games to test it and after every game after 2 -3 minutes the pc restarts itself. While the game is playing the pc produces this wierd winding noise before shutting down. The technician said it could be that my gpu is damaged from when my psu died out but i don't know what that has to do with the pc restarting itself and the high end games like Witcher 3 and Ac origins run just fine like they did in the past, so i don't know. Why is my pc restarting when playing a game, when i normaly run the pc it doesn't restart its just when i start a game
