PC specs:
PSU: Corsair TX750M
MB: asus p8h61 r2.0
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz
GPU: Sapphire HD 7870
RAM: 8gb

I've been gaming with this setup for 6-7 years now, and I've never had to fix anything hardware-wise, until recently my pc restarted while i was playing and it hasn't been the same since...

The issue: Whenever i try to turn the pc on it will restart without BOSD at any time. The rare times i'm able to boot up to windows it will restart after a while, and then keep restarting at the asus screen, before i'm even able to open up the bios.

I've tried using one ram at a time and changing the psu, but nothing changed.
Also I've logged the sensors data up until the system restart and they dont seem to show singns of overheating.
One of the few times i got to boot up to windows i managed to get to the event viewer and the critical error that showed up often, due to the restarts, is "critical - kernel power".

I don't know how to test which part of my pc might be causing the hardware, and have no clue where to start... any help would be immensely appreciated!

Solution
I had sudden restarts recently and a Windows Update related to either the October update or Intel microcode fixed it. Windows installed both, so I can’t say for sure which one fixed it, but my restarts went away afterward. Check for updates.

The pc can boot, but it's pretty rare... I'd be willing to test the mobo if that chance arises but im not sure how to do that
