Hello,

My PC restarts randomly while watching any kind of videos, be it online videos or while watching anything on any sort of media player.
My PC is not restarting while playing heavy games such as Witcher 3 or shadow of mordor.

Things i have checked:
Checked temps while watching videos and it sits at 38°C. I still checked my temps just to make sure, though it's not restarting while gaming.

Performed stress tests, just in case, PC doesn't restart.

Removed Nvidia latest drivers 381.89 more than 5 times and deleted all the registry files and reinstalled. Even removed all the files from program data and app data folders and then reinstalled the drivers.

Rolled back to Nvidia drivers 378.78, still restarts.

Checked without the Nvidia drivers, still restarts.

Scanned PC for any sort of malware.

Windows is fully updated to the latest version.

Removed google chrome and reinstalled, tried playing vidoes in media player, still restarts.

I am not using any sort of Flash player.

Using Windows 10 professional 64 bits.

1| When reinstalling GPU drivers, first use DDU and remove the existing drivers and then reinstall with the latest off GPU chip manufacturers site. If the issue persists, revert to previously known working/stable drivers.

2| Have you made sure your motherboard BIOS is up to date?

3| Are we supposed to go by your signature space/specs as your full systems specs? If so please take the time to list them in your thread body. System's specs in signature spaces tend to change often and the solution offered to this thread/scenario may be irrelevant to a newcomer after said specs are changed.

Hey,

i have already rolled back to and currently running on 378.78 from 381.89, yet the issue still persists. I clearly remember that 378.78 and 378.92 were working fine. So i rolled back to 378.78 yesterday only.

My motherboard bios is up to date and currently running on version : 0906.

And Yes the signature specs are indeed my full system specs.
And yes i am using a hyper 212x @4.8ghz and my core voltage is in between 1.280 to 1.296v. Even while doing stress testing it does not go above 81°c.

And the card is still gtx 960, waiting for vega.

Thanks for your concern, should i still use DDU? even i have rolled back to an older version?
