Question PC restarts when starting games in fullscreen

Hey guys,

so I recently bought myself a new rig
Ryzen 5600x
2x 8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3600Mhz
RTX 3070 KFA2
x570 ASrock Extreme4
Corsair RM 850x

My problem is that whenever I start a game like league of legends or apex, the computer restarts as soon as the fullscreen application starts.
On a game called osu! and world of warcraft it does not happen.

Do you guys think it is a driver issues due to the new gpu or have any other suggestions?

I checked all cables on the psu and mb and gpu.
The temps are always below 40 degrees.

Thanks in regards.

This sounds like a power supply issue. It probably can’t keep up with the power demands of the GPU

Let’s wait for more responses from the power supply gurus. They can tell you if that’s a good model or not

Read through this thread and see which ones are good

I’m no expert but the RM850X does very well and is high quality by all the reviews I have read. It’s possible the psu has a fault though. Before suspecting the psu I would unplug the gpu from the motherboard and unplug the gpu power cables from both the psu and gpu. The re plug in everything firmly. This is to try and rule out that something is not 100% plug in fully.

Edit: also unplug and replug the 24 pin motherboard connector.

Did not work out

Does it happen in all games or just one game ?

If one game only , this is not a hardware issue .

Run the card in default mode , no overclocking as well and see what happens.

Corsair RMX is one of the best powersupplies around with TEN YEARS WARRANTY.

Try using a game that runs the GPU at 100% and see if it happens . put everything maxed out utill you get 100% GPU usage . ands see .

also VRAM usage , try a game with very high VRAM usage . if it works , then nothing is wrong .

So the games I play right now are osu, WoW, LoL and Apex
osu and Wow works fine
LoL and Apex do not work at all
Can I run 3dmark to get it to 100% since I think none of those games will get the 100% ?
