A recurring problem I have been facing for the past few weeks was that about 30 minutes into any game I would be playing, the computer would spontaneously restart. There is no warning give, or an error report, my screen just turns off along with my peripherals (mouse and keyboard LEDs) but my computer fans do not stop nor does their LEDs stop and then windows boots up again. At first I had suspected it was a PSU problem so I had changed my PSU, I had upgraded from 500 watts to 700 watts, and even added more fans, making sure air circulation was taken in mind. The problem still persists and I have been checking my temperatures while gaming and they are still in a safe range, (about 40-55c for my CPU and about 60-70 for my GPU both under stress). Both GPU and CPU are not overclocked whatsoever. Trying to fix the problem, I have replaced my ram and have reformatted my hard drive to do so, still no luck, please help!

System:
CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: PNY Geforce 660 ti performance edition
PSU: Lepa 700w Maxbron
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 8gb 1600

Same things was happening to me as well, and it was because of CPU over temperature, no BSOD no message what so ever, but sometime while on boot i used to get bios error message 'CPU Overtemperature Error'. I don't know whether its the same thing for you.
When you system restarts, go to bios directly and check the CPU temperature. It will be dropping to soem 2-3 digree, with that time, so you will get the current temperature.
If your temperature is fine, then check 'event viewer ' (window key + R, type 'eventvwr.msc') and check the logs for any error that cause the shutdown. It will be logged. And you might be able to get the reason behind that.

I have checked my temperatures and have not gotten that error, when the computer restarts my CPU was at 55C, I did check event viewer though and it did keep in track the shut downs but it does not show the origin of the problem, only showing that it had an unexpected shut down
