PC restarts while playing ARK

I recently upgraded my PC to the point of building a new one. I've been trying to play ARK, as it's the most demanding game I had played in the past, and I'm able to run it on ultra settings with ~60fps. The only issue is after around 20 minutes or so my pc will restart. When it happened at first, it had a pop up screen saying ASUS surge protection had kicked in, but I did some research where people suggested disabling it and that it wasn't all that needed. However I'm still getting restarts, no splash screen this time. I tried lowering the settings in the game, but the restarts still happen.

I've been monitoring my temps while I play, and they get a little high but still within the ranges I've seen for these parts. My CPU usually hovers around between 60-70 C and my GPU between 70-80C.

My rig consists of:
EVGA nvidia GTX 1080
intel i7 6700k
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cooler
ASUS Z170-A motherboard
G.SKILL ripjaws V series 16 gb ram
PSU - Rosewill HIVE 650w

I didn't replace my psu when I got my new pc, because I was under the impression 650w would be plenty.

The only thing left I can think of is not enough power or my PSU is dying. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Kevin

ARK is so buggy sadly, first try verifying your local game files via steam, some patches ago several ppl had the same issue, it was a corrupted patch causing their system to crash/restart.

If that doesn't fix it, try monitoring your CPU/GPU/PSU usage while gaming with HWMonitor Pro with its log feature, this way we'll be able to see exactly what happens the last seconds before it crashes.
