Hi guys I am looking to buy the following system but I am confused if all parts are compatible with each other. It gets confusing with all this PCIe slot configurations which I still cannot clearly understand, space to fit all components, etc.
I have a good budget for this build ( Euro 2000 - 2500 ) but I'm also looking for a system which can be upgraded in the future ( considering CPU socket, SLI and PCIe-SSD RAID0 )
motherboard: ASRock Z170 Extreme7 + Intel Z170
cpu: Intel Core i7 6700K
cpu cooler: Corsair Hydro Series h100i GTX
ram: 16GB G.Skill RipJaws V schwarz DDR4-3200
graphics: 6144MB Inno3D GeForce GTX 980 Ti iChill Black Accelero Hybrid S
2 X ssd: 256GB Samsung SM951 M.2 2280 PCIe
psu: 850W Corsair RM Series
case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe
So should I buy this CPU? Looks that it only has a max of 16 PCIe slots, does this mean I can only have Dual SLI with it (x8x8)? Also max memory type is 2133 and only 2 memory channels? what does this mean. I'm really not sure if to get this CPU but on the other hand I would like to have the latest socket ( for future upgrade purposes ). What are your opinions?
And what about the motherboard? It's a beauty and it looks like it can go crazy! But again, how many GPUs can I fit in for SLI. Also do you think that even 3 PCIe SSDs can fit in while having multiple GPUs?
