Question PC running terrible im a new pc gamer

I need some serious help my computer is skipping frames dropping frames and not running or looking smoothly even in low settings im new so try not to laugh but i just bought an rtx 2060 i have an i5, 8 gbs ram, 300w power supply, an hp 82f1 motherboard from a prebuilt pc and and acer 27" 144hz monitor i cant understand why even with this graphics card on the lowest of low settings i can never hit my peak fps my turning is very choppy tbh everythinf is very cjoppy i know i need an ssd and more ram but ive been told so many different things i dont know whats what anymore can i please get some real help???

Also you need 16 gb and these will only run at 2400 until u build a new pc then you can go into the bios and oc them to 3000
