Hello guys, I just want a permanent solution to this; I have an old laptop, Hp 630, the configurations are as follows, intel i7, 8 gb ram, windows 11. The problem now is, if am working on the system, while charging, it goes into hibernation after some selected amount of time, but it not so when am running on battery. I have changed the thermal paste, oiled the cooling fans, Tweak the power settings, but it's still the same, what could be the issue.

If you don't want hibernate at all (plus this frees up some storage drive space)
  1. Press the Windows button on the keyboard to open Start menu or Start screen.
  2. Search for cmd. In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then select Run as Administrator.
  3. When you are prompted by User Account Control, select Continue.
  4. At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate off, and then press Enter.
  5. Type exit, and then press Enter to close the Command Prompt window.
