PC screen flashes black.

My computer has been having a problem with the screen flashing black every 3-5 Minutes. I don't think It has anything to do with the graphics card because sometimes when it flashes it will switch me to another window I have open in chrome. I'm starting to get frustrated. I have no Idea how to begin to fix it.
Also sometimes the screen will go black and the only thing I can see is the cursor. They only way I have found to fix this is to reboot.

it could be the gpu also test your hdd with the drive maker tool .

I ran the WD diagnostic test and the drive passed. I have had the problem on another drive also.

try your system with minimum parts this means the os drive and one memory stick and the onboard video if it is having one if not use the gpu .

I ran the computer with one drive and one stick of RAM, but the screen still flashes.

screen only flashes and no bsod did you check the gpu in another system and if you could try a older gpu in this one .
