Hey folks, I just got a new TV that I hooked up to my PC, however the PC is sending a signal to the TV even if the TV is off.

I had a set-up with my old TV where, when I turn on the TV my monitor turns off and everything gets displayed on my TV, however this new TV receives a signal from the PC even when it is off so it's not possible to do that. I was thinking of compromising by having it mirror my monitor, however that causes visible lag, like low fps or dodgy refresh rate, I am not too sure.

I was wondering if anyone knows of something that I could do to fix this issue.
I'm running Win 10, with a GTX 1080, my TV is a LG 55UJ634V.

Solution
Any PC is still going to send a signal to the TV when it's off. The PC doesn't necessarily know the TV is off.

That being said, I don't understand why "mirroring" is causing you grief. It doesn't for me and I don't think it should for you.
