Hello,
I've recently overclocked my Phenom x6 1055t from a stable 3.5ghz to 3.7ghz on an MSI 870-c45 motherboard.
I've used these settings:
Bus speed to 265,
HT Link and NB Multiplier x8 (2120MHz)
Ram at 1412MHz 1.55V (+0.05V)
Core at 1.375V (+0.075V)
CPU NB VID 1.2V (Normal)
NB Voltage 1.1V (Normal)
HT Link Voltage 1.2V (Normal)
NB/PCIe/PLL Voltage 1.8V (Normal)
CPU PLL 2.5V (Normal).
PSU XFX ProSeries 550W Core Edition
RAM is OCZ Gold 2x4gb ddr3 1333
GPU is a GTX 570
Running an SSD+HDD and 6 case fans, on a Corsair Carbide 200R
After 10 minutes of prime95 large fft's test, the pc suddenly shuts down with the power led blinking. I've tried clearing the CMOS, powering without ram, with the CPU 4-pin cable disconnected, with the GPU disconnected. It doesn't power on.
If I unplug the psu cable, leave it for about 20 seconds and try power back on, the case fans light-up for about half a second and move about a quarter-rotation.
I know that MSI motherboards are crap for OC, and fry quickly.
I'm just trying to determine here if I fried my PSU, CPU, mobo or a combination? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
