PC shut down every time i play game :(

i have a mid level pc...
i played gta v on it some month ago and completed whole game.
but now i reinstall new hard drive and all my games....but this is not the issue...
issue is every time i play or start heavy game..my pc shut down or you can say just power cut situation as no shut down message nothing..just it turn off like it was never switched on....no restart ...just nothing.
i tried cleaning my system but nothing helps.
my graphics card is ok i tested it in my friend pc today and same goes with psu.
Need real help guys !!!!!

Yes, that is a decent respectable power supply. It should fix your problems. Even if it didn't, at least you've got a decent psu for future upgrades 🙂 . Buy it, and tell us if your pc still shuts down. Good luck!

powersupply, got a pc from a friend who had issues and was chucking it out, tested with my gpu and as soon as I loaded up my gpu it would reboot, under 100% cpu load it would do the same after a short bit.


threw my newer psu in and it has been fine since

not bad pc fx6100 and asus m5a97 R2.0. never overclocked either until it ended up in my hands

after it happens do you have to power off the psu then power it back up and you can then boot?

Hi there,

Fortunately, this is a common issue. Have you been Overclocking your CPU or GPU recently? It could have gone wrong, so reset to defaults if you have.

What PSU do you have? Often its the power supply that causes issues like this. Download a stress testing tool like HeavyLoad, or run a game benchmark like 3D Mark Firestrike or another game benchmark. Monitor your temps while doing this too, with something like HW Monitor and CPU-Z.

I would blame the power supply on this one. Never heard of Zebronics. It probably can't even output anyhere near 500w. I had a CiT PSU with a GT610 which freezes sometimes when starting the PC up, yet it is rated 150w over the required PSU. I'd buy a quality PSU from a reputable manufacturer. I like EVGA's Power Supplies. Which country are you in, and I will help you find a decent PSU.

its an indian brand...as i live in india :)
its hard to find cruiser or cooler master psu in markets here

It seem your in Indiqa, if you use Zebronics and snapdeal. You can buy EVGA PSUs. Don't get any Corsair "CX" PSUs. They are unreliable. I'd recommend EVGA'S W1 500W, Corsair CS550, EVGA 500W Bronze, Antec 500w. Just visit JohnnyGurus's website, he reviews all different PSUs including the ones mentioned above.

Oh okay.... Cooler Master PSUs aren't too great anyway.... try looking for EVGA, Corsair (not CX series though), Antec, SeaSonic, XFX......you'll find that once you have a quality unit you'll have no problems. A bad PSU like that, is very dangerous as they can explode and cause a fire, and destroy everything in your PC.....Tell us which brands come up in your search and I'll tell you which is the best one.

I'd never heard of them, until I saw the website was an Indian website.....suprising how little is avaliable around the world. I'd go for the Seasonic then, seeing how good their power supplies are
