My PC shutsdown completely (no message) just all power off, intermittently and refuses to turn back on. I opened up the case, wiggled around the PSU cables and it turned on with no problems once again.

I took it to the shop and they checked it out and said everything was fine, they did something called a "ram service" (sorry im not sure about anything with PCs) and gave it back to me.

the PSU is a 650w coolermaster (my 1st custom build, ikr) if i replace the PSU would it solve these internittent shutdowns since it turned on only after I messed around with the cables?

It sure sounds like a bad PSU. But of course, the MB itself could also be at fault. Be sure your 24 pin cable is fully seated in the header on the MB. Check to see if it is all the way in and the clip is over the tab on the header.
