PC Shutdown During Intense Gameplay/Stress Testing

As the title says, my PC Seems to be (Only recently) Shutting down during intense gameplay.

This started Yesterday, my first (Quite Long) session of Fallout 4, a quite demanding game i might add. So i was playing for quite a while, at least 3/4 hours, when my PC just completely shuts down. No warning, just turns off straight away.

So i feel my case and sure its pretty hot, but the temps i recorded when i rebooted didnt seem to be too high for my components (Cpu ran under 70 Celcius at all times, and the gpu rarely went above 80).*

After this, I installed a GPU stresser (FurMark) and ran it for 20 minutes or so with no issue with stability. I then looked the issue up and someone said it would be wise to check the PSU, which i did. I used OCCT and selected the PSU tester. During this test, around 10/15 minutes in, the PC did exactly what it did when playing FO4 and completely shut off.

A last thing to add, I had to manually switch the PSU off then on to actually get the system to reboot.

tl;dr:

- PC shuts down during demanding programs
- PSU has to manually be turned off then on for the system to reboot.
- Any advice/Tips?

CPU: Amd Fx 8350 (Hyper 212 Evo Cooler)
RAM: Avexir Core Blue Series (8GB)

PSU: Corsair Builder Series CX 750W Modular
CASE: BitFenix Shadow

Most likely a failing PSU. CX series are notorious for these issues.

Any way of me assuring this? And if it is the PSU, why is it only doing it just now? I've played plenty of demanding games in the past with next to no issues similar to this. Had the system for little under a year now and if it is in fact a problem with the PSU, would it not have happened sooner?

Bets way to test is with a known good PSU. The biggest issue I see with the cxs is the secondary caps, out of the box the units work great(why they reviewed so well) but after some time the capacitors degrade,(heat and higher loads help this process along) and when the caps start to fail the first sign is the system shutting down/restarting under load. If i had to guesstimate I'd say the avg lifespan of the cxs i've seen would be just under the 1 yr mark. Another possibility is the psu is overheating and the over temp protection is shutting it down.
