I'm trying to rebuild my old PC :

I7-2600k
4X8 GB ram
Gigabyte z68x-ud3h-b3
1TB HDD
Corsair 750W power supply
Gigabyte 670 2GB

I have switch the motherboard back to my old case and also change the heatsink recently before that I didn't have any issue for the last 8 years.

So the issue is that when I start the pc it will shutdown itself after like 3 minutes the first time, then 1 minutes, then shorter and shorter until it's around 1 sec.

If I let it "cool" I can do the same thing again

I tried to reset the motherboard to the default setting.

Remove the ram, GPU, harddrive and it's the same behavior

When it shutdown the first time I go back to the bios and look at the temperature and I see 25C for the motherboard and 28C for the CPU

I removed and reseated the heatsink and everything appear to be good, thermal paste is spread around correctly.

The cpu fan and power supply fan are working correctly and there's no active cooling on the motherboard.

I'm kind of running out of idea.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

I also tried to start the pc and go into the bios monitoring until it auto shutoff. The temperature for the cpu and motherboard didn't go above 30C. So I'm pretty sure the issue is not cpu cooling.
