They were general statements, I didn't know what temps you were getting.

Has it happened since? I wouldn't worry about it too much unless its happening every time you run programs.

You could run hwinfo and log sensor recordings while you play/stream and see if it records any obvious clues.
its likely more accurate than afterburner at tracking CPU temps.
I have it set to show my core temps all day, every 500ms the core temps are moving on my 3600XT
download it from here - https://www.hwinfo.com/download/
when you start it, click the box next to show sensors only and click run
in next window, click on the button to the right of the Clock, that says "Logging start" if you hover mouse over it.
this lets you create a log file and...

first 2 show windows doesn't know why it restarted
3rd shows there were no errors on Windows side that caused error.
last 2 can just be windows errors, can mostly ignore them.

These all happened after restart, not before.

Heat can cause shutdowns.
power draw can also cause it

heat? but from where exactly? psu?, i use msi afterburner to keep check on my gpu and cpu temps and well never got any alarming temperature while i was gaming.

while in here, click on settings which is the gear icon, and under Polling rate, set it to 500, and click the Set button. This will reduce gap between recordings and make it more accurate when it comes to CPU core as Ryzen CPU temps never static.

can also set it to start with windows and track temps and show in task bar but that is a little complex for a post... so how about a video

most accurate measure of Ryzen speed and temps are Ryzen Master & HWINFO, almost all the others get it wrong. My Win 10 has no clue at any stage what speed my 3600XT is doing. Always sees it as 4.2ghz when its really way slower.

thank you for you great post i will clarify some stuff: i use msi afterburner to read my gpu temps, and for the cpu temps i do use hwinfo64 and i have added the temp reading on msi afterburner for the cpu since it doesnt have it on its program, from hwinfo64, i didnt do the 500ms that you suggested tho so i will do that now.

as for if it has happend again since that event, well no it hasnt again which was very odd, at first i thought the psu was failing but seems fine so idk what was the issue tbh, and i think if it was the psu it wouldnt even let me play for long periods of hours i would think, no?
