Hello everyone,

I got a question, when im playing a game (doesnt matter what game) my pc randomly freeze. I cant click, type or anything... I have to manually restart the pc to make it work again.

Does anyone got a clue what the problem could be?

My specs:

GPU: Windforce gtx 970
CPU: Inter core i5-4690k Boxed, Stock cooler
Mobo: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming
RAM: 2* Crucial ballistic tactical 8Gb
PSU: Crosair CX600m
HDD: WD blue 1TB
Case: Cooler Master Silencio 550 with 2 fans

Solution
Can you borrow a PSU from somebody, so you can try it on your system? That would be the easiest way to troubleshoot your PSU. It looks like something happens while your computer is doing some intensive processes.

Since when does the problem occur?

If it happened recently i suggest checking if you have a system restore point (Im not sure if this is enabled by default)

Otherwise uninstall any software or drivers you installed since the problem occured.

Hi there Rejiar,

What are the system's temps when under load?

Several things you can try:
- Run some stress testing.
- Update your GPU's drivers.
- Update MOBO's drivers.
- See if there is high usage of some of the components under Resource Monitor when playing.

Hello

After following your tips, i tried to update my GPU & MOBO drivers.
Then i tried to do some stress testing (OCCT) but after starting the test for like 2/3 second... my pc already freezed up.

However when i ddnt start the test, the temp was around 50/60 celcius & every other component looked normall for me.
%CPU was around 50% while updating my drivers.

Cheers,
