[SOLVED] PC shuts down 1 minute into a video game

Hi everyone,

I bought a 2nd computer rig to work on and fix up, with the following specs

CPU - I5 6600K (overrclocked to 4.0)
RAM - 12 gb DDR4 RAM
GPU - GTX 770 (replacing with a 1080 shortly)
Motherboard - ASUSTek Prime Z270-P
PSU - Solid Gear 600BX

I had some weird issues with PC turning off on it's own then restarting when I first picked it up (no high temperatures in CPUID HW monitor besides MOBO showing 118 C but I think this is wrong?)

Anyways, that problem disappeared, but I downloaded Witcher 3 to test this rig out before the 1080 arrives, and it just crashes and auto-restarts about a minute in.

I have noticed in CPUID that the VCORE jumps sporadically from 0.7-1.2 e.g. (0.704, 0.899, 1.184, 1.2) - is this a point of concern? Possible the monitoring tool is inaccurate?

Basically I'm thinking this is a PSU, MOBO, or both issue since temps do seem fine. Hoping people smarter than me here can help.

Yeah you're right, the PSU is trash. I'm assuming it's not delivering anywhere near the listed power. Looking at replacements right now.

As far as the MOBO temps, I was assuming it was just CPUID getting a grossly inaccurate reading, no hot air is shooting out the back, 4 fans, liquid cooling, the overall system is not that hot. Is that common for CPUID?

I was curious if the VCORE jumps had something to do with it.
