Hello,

I have build a pc for my younger brother so he can play games.
It worked fine for 4-5 weeks and since yesterday the pc shut down, after trying to restart it didn’t work.

I had to turn off the psu, pull out the power cord. And re-plug it in and it restarted again.
After logging in on windows, after a minute it shut down itself again. I am clueless.

so I thought, it might be the cpu cooler. So I bought a new cpu cooler and installed it.

I assembled everything again and gave it another shot, it restarted again. After running an bench mark It shut down itself again...

Now I don’t know what might be the case.
I’m thinking of replacing the psu -> mobo -> gpu.

These are the specs of my machine;

Sharkoon TG4
  • Asus ROG STRIX B450-F gaming
  • Amd Ryzen 5 3600
  • MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super VEN. XS 6G OC
  • Corsair 16GB 3200mhz
  • M.2 SSD 500GB A2000
  • Be Quiet! System power 9 700W
  • (Bronze 80 plus)
  • 1 TB HDD Seagate

Please help me out, I thank every one of you in advance!!

Welcome to the forums!

Did you verify CPU and GPU temps whilst under load?
Do you have latest BIOS installed?
Are there specific times it shuts down? I.e. only under load?

After software/firmware has been eliminated, from a hardware POV it often goes:
PSU > GPU > RAM > MB > CPU as the points of cause.

I'd check the above questions but if you do buy a new PSU, just get a good quality 450W/550W. The SP9 whilst are fine, are also BQ! lower end of the spectrum.

The CPU and GPU temperatures are reliable, not too high.
The latest BIOS is installed, and I just resetted the settings to default.
This time The machine was on for a longer period, about 45 minutes.
I ran an benchmark test, let it stay for 20 minutes, and did it again.
And after 20 minutes I tried the benchmark again and this time the pc shut down again.
I can’t turn it on after it shut’s down, I need to put the psu off, remove the cable, wait a few seconds and re-plug it in to restart it again.
