pc shuts down after touching a wire

hi, i recently replaced cpu and motherboard and got it working on screen. Howver when i touched a wire the pc shut down and now it doesn't turn on anymore. I tried holding in the power button and that doesnt work either.

1. Why are you messing around inside while the power is on?

2. It might have simply been a sort of loose cable, that became disconnected when you touched it

3. Or, it completely shorted something out when you touched it.

I got it working now! I was indeed electronic discharge. I replaced the CMOS battery to get it to work.
