PC shuts down after (what I think it is) high CPU usage.

Hello everyone.

I recently cleaned my PC of all dust, then reassembled it, and plugged it in. It started normally, so I started playing Dota 2. It was all good, even played 4 average length matches (about 40 minutes) No issues.

There is a demo mode in Dota 2, where you can preview heroes, and try different stuff. You can also spawn many heroes, and thats what I did. It was going well for 10 seconds, after that, my screen freezed, I wasn't able to do anything, and then PC was shut down,

The first thought which came to my mind was, maybe some game issue/bug, so I posted it on the Dota 2 Subreddit, only to realise that it was only me who was experiancing this.

After realising this, I tried playing Doom 2016, Dark Souls 3, and 3DMARK benchmarks, and yeah, PC crashed for all these high CPU using games and softwares.

I immediately cleaned the thermal paste on my CPU, reapplied it carefully (Dot in middle), and tried the benchmark and games again. And the PC crashed, again.

Any suggestions on what should I do?

Intel i5 6500 3.20 GHz Quad Core CPU
Hyper X Fury 8 GB 2133 MHz RAM
MSI AMD RX 480 8 GB GDDR5 GPU
Corsair VS550 PSU

I would check the Event Viewer and see what happened at the exact time it crashed. Hmmm VS Corsair. Not the best or worst PSU but I would use HWMonitor to check out your +12V during gaming and in your BIOS. The +12 rail should be at 12.0V. As you can see below HwMonitor shows the min, max and current. It remembers the min and max the entire time it's running.
