As title says i've been having issues playing CSGO. Game loads up just fine its just that as soon as i load into a map it crashes my PC. I've recorded my overlay and my graphics card jumps up to 99% usage and 180 watts before it shuts down. I built this PC a month ago and have given it a good cleaning to see if it would help. Also redid the plugs for the motherboard,CPU,and GPU. Did stress tests on CPU, GPU and did a MEMtest to check my ram. Everything did fine and i even did CPU and GPU at the same time. Which while it did not shut down my CPU, it did underclock from 3.5ghz to 2.5ghz.
My Specs are as follows
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
Mobo: B550 A pro
GPU: XFX 5700xt
RAM: G.Skill trident z 16gigs overclocked
Case: H510 elite (just in case ,haha, NZXT LED module thing has anything to do with this)
PSU: EVGA N1 650 watts
Storage: WD blue SSD 500 gigs and a Crucial M.2 drive 1TB
While everyone might just say TEMPS. My PC runs other games perfectly. Apex runs without a hitch and i can play Borderlands on Epic just fine aswell. There is that Wattage jump i noticed earlier where it can go from 50-90 watts to 180 in a split second. When this happens everything shoots up like temps and usage and then dies promptly. I have to hit the switch on the PSU if i want to turn it on again. I'm thinking its either my GPU or my power supply. Hopefully PSU because it can be easily replaced. The spike has been noticed in other games but the aren't as bad as what happens in CS:GO. I'm writing this as i go but Undervolting my GPU through AMD's radeon software seems to of have fixed the issue. But the presence of this issue under normal circumstances still bothers me, as it may rear its head again 3 hours into unsaved gameplay.
Any help or advice is appreciated.
