My pc keeps shutting down about 5 minutes under load (ie intensive games). I assumed it was my power supply, so I switched in an old one that I never had a problem with and the PC wouldn't even boot. I just disassembled the whole thing to see if there was anything behind the mobo that could cause a short and I didn't see anything. I am at a loss. Please help :)
My specs:
i7 4770k @ 4.5 th a
2x gtx 780 ti
1000w rosewill hive psu
Asus vii hero lga 1150 mobo
Samsung 750G sad
WD 1tb HDD
2x8 Gig Corsair vengeance RAM

I reduced the overclock on my cpu to x43 from x45 and i reset my GPU's to factory setting and everything seems to be stable. This is confusing to me, though. Wouldnt a bad OC give me BSOD? Or just crash the graphics drivers if it was my GPU's? I dont understand

I mean I am a kid with a decent job and no expenses so i really dont plan on keeping any component more than a few years before an upgrade. Everything is cooled properly and EMT is obviously a factor (as we have seen here) but my gpu's are now stable at about a 15% OC
