PC shuts down instantly when HDD is connected

Hello guys i have a problem. A while ago i started hearing noise on my hard drive and when i scanned it it had about 2600 bad sectors. I research on google and read that maybe it was a loose connection on hdd head so i opened it ( as seen on picture) cleaned it and ret

urned it back to original. When i tried it on my PC it lightened the cpu but instantly shutsdown and can't be reopen for sometime (about 2 to 3 mins) any idea what happened? I haven't tried using HDD enclosure yet. My drive is Seagate 2TB. Im buyying a new drive but want to retrieve some of my files

You opened the physical Hard drive and cleaned the Read/write head? Where you in a clean room? Any amount of dust inside the hard drive enclose could cause your hard drive to fail.....

Not the inside. Only whats on the picture where the sata and power is connected

I know its dying. Before i removed the thing in the picture the pc can still recognize it so probably i can still salvage some files

Yup. You should have done that before you mess it up.

It was dying, now its dead. For any data recovery your going to need to contact a data recovery firm and send it to them, and that's not cheap last I looked. What did you clean the contacts with?

If you have no idea of what is 'broken', how are you going to 'fix' it?
