Hello,

So my PC shuts down randomly only when playing games, it can do stress tests with no problem. Furmark is no problem, even with other stress tests and cinebench running at the same time. Doesnt even have to be a hard to run game.
It just shuts down completely as if disconected and restarts itself right away.
What i tried so far is replacing the PSU. Replaced Seasonic 850W Platinum with 750W FP Gold. Changed my MB from Aorus Z390 Elite ti Z390 Pro, and also got new pair of RAM sticks. Running no OC on the cpu right now.
All drivers, windows and bios are up to date.

SPECS:
Z390 Aorus Pro
i9 9900KF stock(cooled by Kraken x72 and temps are fine)
RTX 3080 TUF OC
2x8gb Crucial Ballistix 3000mhz cl15
Kingston A2000 500gb system ssd
Samsung 970EVO 1tb
Crucial 1tb sata ssd
Seagate barracuda 2tb HDD

Thanks very much for any tips

The link you posted is not working.

When was the last time you did a fresh clean install of Windows 10 ? (You can create Windows 10 installation media from Microsoft itself: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10)

Yuor new PSU is FP 750 gold? Is this the full name, brand and model?
Seasonic Focus Plus Gold

i did some further testing and the only thing that helps is when i undervolt the gpu and lock it at about 0.95v
So its either the gpu itself or the power supply not handling spikes in gpu power, i mean the gpu power goes from 340w to 250w by doong this

buying a 1000w psu thats not seasonic is my next move so any other suggestion will be greatly appreciated

The thing is your new PSU is not a bad unit, but your particular GPU needs more power.

Did you read the GPU requirements before buying it? I believe this is your card: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Graphics-Cards/TUF-Gaming/TUF-RTX3080-O10G-GAMING/techspec/

It said right there 850watts as recommended.

Some Seasonic units can't stand the power spikes this new RTX high end cards can do.

Before buying any new PSU, check the tier list, go with A tier, and look for units that don't have issues with this new RTX cards: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/psucultists-psu-tier-list-rev-14-8-12-07-2021.3624094/

I had Seasonic 850w platinum before this one and it was still happening, so i swapped it with the 750w i had around thinking its a bad psu. Thanks a bunch for the advice!

New corsair 1000w psu fixed the issue, i will definetly contact seasonic coz the total power draw was about 600w top and neither one of their psus handled the card
